Punk citizenship

Thank you all for a successful DIY ethics season:

  • I distributed 400 DIY ethics handbooks (get yours in Dutch or English)
  • I did almost 10 keynotes on nice events, like this one (contact me if you want me as your speaker!)
  • I got a lot of feedback and support (keep it coming!)

The best of past season was a corporate lady confessing to me she took my DIY ethics handbook secretly to every meeting as a reminder and lucky charm.

I plan to make next season the season of Punk Citizenship. I feel there is a lot of talking and thinking about the good, but while we are in nice webinars Big Tech is moving as fast as they can.

So: how can we be decent (enough) people and change the world by force at the same time? Will we tear down datacenters? Will we scream at marketeers? Will be stab the tires of every person saying ‘But genAI is the culmination of human creativity!‘?

I don’t know. But I will find out. Vasilis and I will pick up our podcast again, and I will write my insights into a little book: DIY Punk Citizenship. And to top it off I am pondering over a clandestine minor on Punk Citizenship to be held on the public part of the grounds of our Applied Sciences Universities.

That’s it for now. Keep the fire going! I’ll get back to you after summer. <3
