Be open to other people\u2019s opinions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Think hard, be thorough.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Starters:<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Find out what the tech pessimists is actually talking about (there is a lot of confusion in tech debates) and dig deeper together:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Big tech?&nbsp;(yek)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gen AI? (yek)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Other AI?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Surveillance?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Profit?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Corporations?&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shareholders?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Capitalism?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Democracy?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Discuss damage:<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What damage can the ideas of the tech pessimist do? (Schooling, equality, science, democracy, earth, &#8230;)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You\u2019ll probably find out that many tech pessimist are really <strong>Power Critics<\/strong>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Many tech pessimists really like computers and the early internet.<br>What went wrong was the powers that built on these early crazy days.&nbsp;Those have to go back in Pandora\u2019s box.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">So a Power Critic<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Aren&#8217;t we all? The planet goes to shambles, it it time to critical of the powers that are. We should all be Power Critics, connecting to Change Makers.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to talk to a tech optimist<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Beware of your attitude:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Be kind and curious. Money driven development (more profit!) is not sustainable and against the planet. Caring is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">So a Change Maker<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Aren&#8217;t we all? The planet goes to shambles, it it time to critical of the powers that are.
