{"id":1028,"date":"2024-07-25T18:58:09","date_gmt":"2024-07-25T18:58:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/goedmaken.org\/?p=1028"},"modified":"2024-08-03T08:37:27","modified_gmt":"2024-08-03T08:37:27","slug":"punk-citizenship","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/goedmaken.org\/index.php\/2024\/07\/25\/punk-citizenship\/","title":{"rendered":"Punk citizenship"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thank you all for a successful DIY ethics season:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>I distributed <strong>400 DIY ethics handbooks<\/strong> (get yours in <a href=\"https:\/\/goedmaken.org\/index.php\/2023\/11\/02\/diy-ethiek-handboek-gedrukt\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"660\">Dutch<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/goedmaken.org\/index.php\/2024\/06\/10\/diy-ethics-handbook\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"995\">English<\/a>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I did almost <strong>10 keynotes<\/strong> on nice events, like <a href=\"https:\/\/goedmaken.org\/index.php\/2024\/06\/10\/being-human-on-a-tech-high-tide-a-plea-for-punk-citizenship\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"976\">this one<\/a> (<a href=\"astrid@goedmaken.org\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"astrid@goedmaken.org\">contact<\/a> me if you want me as your speaker!)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I got <strong>a lot of feedback and support<\/strong> (keep it coming!)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The best of past season was a corporate lady confessing to me she took my DIY ethics handbook secretly to every meeting as a reminder and lucky charm. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I plan to make next season the season of <strong>Punk Citizenship<\/strong>. I feel there is a lot of talking and thinking about the good, but while we are in nice webinars Big Tech is moving as fast as they can. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So: how can we be decent (enough) people and change the world by force at the same time? Will we <em>tear down<\/em> datacenters? Will we <em>scream<\/em> at marketeers? Will be <em>stab the tires<\/em> of every person saying <em>&#8216;But genAI is the culmination of human creativity!<\/em>&#8216;?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I don&#8217;t  know. But I will find out. Vasilis and I will pick up <a href=\"https:\/\/goedmaken.org\/index.php\/2024\/07\/15\/wie-is-goed\/\">our podcast<\/a> again, and I will write my insights into a little book: <strong>DIY Punk Citizenship<\/strong>. And to top it off I am pondering over a <em>clandestine minor<\/em> on Punk Citizenship to be held on the public part of the grounds of our Applied Sciences Universities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That&#8217;s it for now.
